we go here all the time! Food and service is top notch! We recommend the honey and tequila shrimp. It's new on the menu and actually on the appetizer menu. It is delicious and b est shrimp I have ever tasted in my life! Hopefully, they make this a main course one day with vegetables and rice. If you order 3 of them for 2 people...it's amazing! WE love their mixed drinks too. The candy apple red sangria is amazing!

Beautiful dinner with my love at the cast iron grill. Service was pleasant and welcoming. We were over dressed for this place. Dim lighting but still a fun place for adult friends and ladies night out. The bar was beautiful. The food was so tasty and huge portion. I have never tried a risotto before and I was wowed. The scallops were cooked to perfection. My boyfriend shared his meat loaf with me as well. Truly a delicious meal. Sad I left my leftover on the table outside. I'll have to come back real soon

First, a little context. I was staying at the Hampton Inn and considered only restaurants that were an easy walk from the hotel. I ordered the tri-tip. It was pretty good (enough), but not great. The best thing on the plate was the buttermilk mashed potatoes and, yeah, they were really good. Again, for context, the other place I went to was Ironwood American Bistro, which I liked a little better. But - Cast Iron Grill had a better by-the-glass wine list. A little more context - and a public service announcement. When you do a search on Suisun City restaurants, many of the restaurants that come up are in Fairfield, and they appear to be just a five-minute walk away. But to walk there from the Hampton Inn you must cross a pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks. I (and many others) will advise you not to use that pedestrian bridge, especially at night. It is dangerous.

We decided to dine locally today and visited Cast Iron Grill & Bar. The restaurant has not changed much since our previous visit. The staff welcomed us warmly, creating a calm atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and patient, especially with our children. Our oldest, a fellow foodie, ordered the salmon burger with fries, while our youngest had mac & cheese with fries. My husband opted for the lamb burger with sweet potato fries, and I chose the cast iron burger with fries. The portions were generous and flavorful! They also offer outdoor seating in a lovely patio area, which we'll try on our next visit. We're looking forward to coming back!

Just had an early Sunday dinner here and sat outside in the back of their restaurant. I'm glad they have outdoor dining so we can bring our dog. However, it is next to other businesses and walkway so you will get a little bit of smell of smoke from people smoking. The service from our waiter was good but wish he would tell us about the mushrooms that was added and it would cost extra. My son ordered the ribeye steak and there was no mention of the mushrooms but was added. Other meals we had were the pork chops, Mahi Mahi and some pasta that I can't remember the name. Everything we ordered were good. I actually come here for the pork chops. Something to note is on the bill, there's two total. One for paying cash and another for paying with credit card. If you pay cash, you're paying for your orders and tax. If you're paying with credit card, you're paying for your order, tax and some fees. I didn't ask what it was....so just something to note.

I've been dining at Cast Iron Grill and Bar for at least 6 or 7 years now. I forgot to write and post my review from a couple of years ago, whoops! Over the years, the ambiance is still a warm and cozy atmosphere that is quite welcoming. It is honestly one of the main reasons why I tend to meet up with friends and have gone on brunch dates with my husband before we got married. I believe they do have a bar area for those who want to dine and drink there. The service has changed over the years. In previous years, the waiters and waitresses I've encountered were friendly, easy to talk to, and attentive to our needs (especially with refills). In my most recent dining experience, our waiter seemed stressed, not personable, and a bit careless. He dropped some of the fresh fruit on and in my friend's purse, apologized, and left immediately. He didn't offer to get a clean towel to help her clean it up or anything. Thankfully, the food here is still quite delicious. I've dined here many times for brunch on the weekends, which includes mimosas. The portions are quite large and nearly every dish I've tried is flavorful. I did notice that the brunch fruit tray now includes small cake slices (which look and taste like they were made from the boxed cake mix from the grocery store) instead of the fresh scones that they included before. I'm not mad at it though since it's still delicious.
